Electrochemical Interfaces for Progress in Sustainability and Energy
At the ECLIPSE Lab, we design electroactive molecules and materials for a more sustainable carbon, chemical, and energy future. Our research integrates molecular and materials design with electrochemistry to advance (i) electrochemical valorization of abundant small molecules and pollutants, such as CO2, into value-added chemicals and fuels; (ii) electrochemical carbon capture; and (iii) electrochemical energy storage.Â
By combining our expertise in materials synthesis, fundamental electrochemistry, and advanced characterization, we seek to uncover fundamental design principles and translate them into practical solutions to challenges of scientific, environmental, and societal significance.
